Upcoming Events in June

This month we'll take a look at the development and launch of ToonUp's Facebook game, "A Better World". From the initial inception of a non-traditional game for non-gamers, adjustments that had to be made because of schedule, and the evolution of the game post launch. Members of the design, art, and production teams will be on hand to answer questions.

In Brief, artists must register as a 2-3 man and/or woman named team. Name examples include, Team Triumph, Pixel Pixies, etc. Once enrolled, artists can then bring in their personal computers and set their work areas up on Friday June 3rd. Artist with desktop computers who require transportation assistance, we can help! Simply give us a call to arrange a pickup.

Friday Evening, June 3rd, at 5pm, on the 8th floor of Game Artisans Workshop, the first intensive 3D Weekend Jam begins! A challenge theme is given and each team has until Sunday June 5th, 11pm, to complete the character topic plus a small supporting environment. All art must be done within Game Artisans Workshop. Only concept art, texture sheets and models must be submitted by 11pm Sunday. After Sunday, artists may no longer modify textures or models, however, artists have until Wednesday morning to pose, light, print and mount their work for judging. Some industry pros will be on hand during the challenge for advice and for help.
